Set in beautiful countryside, The Stables is a spacious family-run CL site for caravans and motorhomes in rural South Norfolk. We are conveniently located in the quiet village of Forncett St Peter, a central location from which to explore all of the unspoilt beauty that Norfolk has to offer. We are open all year round and welcome well-behaved dogs and children.
Situated in the grounds of our home, our flat and spacious full-service pitches are positioned in the old paddocks and provide 16 amp hook-up, fresh water tap and grey water drain. On site, we provide a visitor information board, chemical waste disposal point and refuse and recycling points. A washing machine is available upon request and our new shower/WC room will be completed in August 2021.
The Stables CL site is a short walk (¾ mile) from local pub The Jolly Farmers which, along with The Boars in Spooner Row, offers quality ale and delicious food. We are very fortunate to have public footpaths leading in several directions from the site and are surrounded by quiet country roads for a leisurely bike ride.
Our local shop is 2 miles away in Bunwell, together with Days garage and fuel station. With the historic market town of Wymondham 5 miles away, with supermarkets, local shopping, cafés, a train station and architectural treasure Wymondam Abbey, everything is close at hand.
A 30-minute drive away, Norwich is one of the most beautiful modern historic cities in Britain. Unearth its hidden gems, iconic buildings, cosy pubs, attractions and must-visit locations.
Norfolk has 90 miles of coast and, whatever kind of beach you like, you’ll find it here… and all of them are unspoilt, clean, safe and family-friendly. And most of them welcome dogs too!
Norfolk is possibly most famous for the man-made Broads, a National Park with over 125 miles of navigable lock-free waterways set in beautiful countryside and studded with charming and picturesque towns and villages. At the heart of the Norfolk Broads, the vibrant and popular villages of Wroxham and Hoveton are a 45-minute drive away.
Proprietors and seasoned caravaners Sue and Paul Townsend have been members of the Caravan and Motorhome Club since 2006 and look forward to welcoming fellow members to their quiet and secluded CL site.
